Getting Started After an Assessment

ABA Therapy

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is based on the science of learning behavior. After an assessment is completed, to analyze how behavior works, an individualized treatment plan is put in place to decrease identified problem behaviors and increase language and communication skills, self-help skills, and social/play skills.

What does that look like?

Changing behavior requires committed time, attention, and repetition. Once hours of service are determined a behavioral technician will provide therapy several times a week under the guidance of a BCBA. Additionally, families need to apply and practice targeted skills in a natural environment setting outside of therapy sessions.
